When asked about his favorite types of events, Matt's enthusiasm is palpable. "My favorite types of events are definitely weddings. Whether it’s an intimate backyard gathering or a grand ballroom affair, each one has a special energy all its own. There’s always a beautiful story unfolding—filled with genuine emotions and personal touches."

Every event has its unique charm, but some stand out more than others. Matt recalls a particularly unforgettable wedding in Ellijay, Georgia, in 2020. "The venue was tucked into this beautiful valley, with mountains forming a breathtaking backdrop—it honestly felt like a postcard come to life," he reminisces. The adventure of the road trip and the magical atmosphere of the wedding left a lasting impression on him. "Even now, I still catch myself thinking about how special it felt to capture those moments in such a gorgeous setting."

Matt's dedication to his craft has led to significant milestones. "A standout career moment for me happened in 2022, when we took on an incredible 39 weddings," he reflects. "Whether it was photography, video, or running our photo booth, I was honored to help document the memories of so many couples." "It was the most rewarding one—knowing that I played a part in preserving all those heartfelt moments that newlyweds will cherish forever."

In the wedding industry, unexpected challenges often arise. Matt recalls a particularly challenging weekend during hurricane season. "I once had to shoot two weddings during the same weekend of a tropical storm. It rained nonstop, so outdoor shots were impossible," he explains. However, his creative approach ensured success. "By getting creative with covered spaces and lighting, we still captured beautiful photos and video. It was a reminder that with a little imagination and flexibility, you can turn any challenge into a memorable part of the story."

Getting to Know Matt

Beyond his professional life, Matt has a rich background and diverse interests. From sunny Vero Beach, FL with a professional background in marketing, he began creating promotional content for local businesses in 2016. Additionally, he teaches business at a local university, a role he finds fulfilling. "It keeps me connected to the next generation of creators and entrepreneurs." Outside of work, Matt enjoys nature trails and exploring new areas with his drone. Travel is another passion, with Prague in the Czech Republic being a favorite destination. "It’s such a beautiful, historic city—I find something new to love about it every time I go." Looking ahead, he has ambitious personal goals, including a desire to retire by the age of 40. "It might be ambitious, but it motivates me to keep pushing myself, both professionally and creatively!"
