For photographer Trisha Rosales, photography is about much more than beautiful images. It is about preserving the laughter, love, excitement, and little moments that make life's milestones worth remembering.
As the owner of Ganesha Photo, Trisha has spent more than 15 years photographing weddings, events, families, and life's most meaningful celebrations. With a degree in photography and years of hands-on experience, she built her career one captured moment at a time, quickly discovering how much she loves being part of people's stories. Today, that passion continues to be at the heart of everything she does.
Finding Her Calling Behind the Camera
After college, Trish worked as a second shooter alongside local photographers, gaining valuable experience and learning the ins and outs of wedding and event photography.
The more weddings and special events she photographed, the more she fell in love with the experience. “What attracted me most was witnessing the love, joy, and connection between people and having the opportunity to preserve those memories through my photographs,” Trisha explains.
For her, there is something particularly meaningful about documenting a couple's love story and creating photographs they can return to years later. This philosophy has remained central to her work.
Celebrating Life's Milestones
Although weddings hold a special place in Trisha's heart, her work extends far beyond the wedding day. Her favorite sessions and events include weddings, anniversaries, proposals, elopements, maternity sessions, and family portraits. Each offers a different opportunity to document connection and emotion.
She especially enjoys anniversary and family sessions because they allow her to capture the ways people and relationships grow over time. Maternity photography celebrates the anticipation of a new chapter, while proposals capture the excitement of a life-changing question.
And then there are weddings, the celebration of a couple's unique love story and all the emotions surrounding one of life's biggest milestones. “Being able to preserve these memories for my clients is what I love most about photography.” she says.
An Elopement That Became Something More
One of Trisha's most memorable experiences began with an intimate elopement in Fort Lauderdale. The couple had traveled to Florida from out of state to get married, and Trisha was honored to document their special day. But what made the experience particularly meaningful was what happened after.
When the couple returned to Florida for a visit, they reached out to Trisha again - this time for family photographs. Reconnecting with them gave Trisha the opportunity to see how their story had continued beyond their wedding day. During their conversations, the bride also shared that she had developed a passion for photography herself and asked Trisha for advice about pursuing it as a career. Trisha encouraged her to follow that passion and take the leap, and she did!
Knowing she had inspired someone else to pursue their creative dream became one of the most rewarding parts of the experience for Trisha. “Photography has given me so much joy over the years,” she says, “and seeing that passion inspire others is incredibly rewarding.”
It is a wonderful reminder that sometimes the connections made through a wedding continue long after the photographs have been delivered.
A Career Highlight Worth Framing
After many years behind the camera, Trisha has certainly collected plenty of beautiful moments, but one stands out in particular. Her photography was published in Gezno magazine, with her work featured on the cover.
“Seeing my photography showcased in print, especially on the cover, was an incredibly proud and rewarding moment for me. It reminded me of how far I have come in my photography journey and how much passion, dedication, and hard work I have put into my craft over the years. That recognition meant a lot to me and motivated me to continue growing and pushing myself creatively as a photographer.”
Keeping Calm When Things Don't Go According to Plan
Anyone who has worked in weddings knows that even the best-planned day can come with unexpected surprises. Weather changes, timelines run behind, locations may need to change, and circumstances can shift without warning.
Trisha has learned that one of the most important skills a wedding photographer can have isn't simply knowing how to use a camera, it's knowing how to remain calm. “When those moments happen, I focus on staying calm, positive, and solution-oriented,” she explains.
Rather than allowing unexpected challenges to affect her clients, Trisha adapts. She communicates clearly, adjusts timelines when necessary, finds creative alternatives, and continues working toward the ultimate goal: making sure her clients can enjoy their day while she captures the memories.
Her experience has taught her that many challenges can be handled quietly behind the scenes. Sometimes, the couple and their guests never even realize there was a problem!
Her ability to remain flexible, professional, and positive under pressure is one of Trisha's
greatest strengths.
Life Beyond the Lens
When she's not photographing weddings and milestones, Trisha enjoys swimming, spending time with her pets, family, and friends, and exploring new places. She loves new experiences and finding inspiration in everyday life: something that naturally feeds her creativity as a photographer. “I have a strong love for adventure and I am always open to trying new things, both in life and in my creative journey.”
Her goal is to continue growing Ganesha Photo while consistently providing clients with beautiful images they can cherish for a lifetime. “I am deeply grateful for every opportunity to be part of such special moments in people’s lives.”
Remembering Sunny
One of Trisha's fondest memories is time spent with her beloved dog, Sunny. “I loved taking him to the park and watching him play with his doggy friends. He was always so happy, full of energy, and always had a smile that could brighten my day.”
Although Sunny has since passed away, those memories remain incredibly precious to Trisha.
She remembers his unconditional love and companionship and the simple happiness of their park visits. Sonny helped her to appreciate life's small moments, which is fitting for someone whose career is built around preserving memories for others.
The People Who Inspire Her
The person who inspires Trisha most is her husband, Raymond. He has been beside her since the beginning of her photography career and has played an important role in helping her grow her business through branding, marketing, and constant encouragement. He has also reminded Trisha of the gifts and opportunities she has been given and encouraged her to continue using her talent to create photographs her clients can treasure. Raymond is also in the wedding industry as a wedding officiant! “It is incredibly special when we have the opportunity to work with the same couple on their wedding day. Being able to share our passions and help create such an important day together makes me even more grateful for the career I have built.”
Trisha finds inspiration in her clients, too. Every couple and family brings a different story, different relationships, and different milestones to document. Their experiences motivate her to continue learning, improving, and creating meaningful images.
A Life Filled With Creativity
Trisha appreciates creativity in all its forms. She enjoys seeing how other artists express themselves through painting, drawing, poetry, acting, singing, video, photography, and countless other mediums.
She believes every artist sees the world differently, and that individuality is part of what makes creativity so inspiring. When it comes to music, Trisha enjoys all kinds, particularly anything that gets people moving and brings good energy. She also gravitates toward movies and television shows that evoke emotion, whether they make her laugh, cry, feel love, or think deeply. As a reader, she enjoys uplifting and inspiring material, especially positive stories and good news that offer encouragement. Above all, she appreciates stories that connect people.
